Henry Armstrong was the first man to hold three World Titles at the same time. He accomplished this in 1938 when he defeated Lou Ambers to win the World Lightweight Title. He had previously defeated Petey Sarron in 1937 to win the World Featherweight Title and Barney Ross in 1938 to win the World Welterweight Title. A deeply religious man, he had his autobiography published in 1956 entitled, Gloves, Glory and God. Presented here is an original photograph of Henry Armstrong and promoter Dave Reynolds which Armstrong has boldly inscribed and signed.
This is an original, first generation photograph. Bold, clear image. Clean front and back. Signed in ink, "Sincerely To Great Promoter & Friend Dave Reynolds From Henry Armstrong." Not creased or torn. Minor edge wear. 8" x 9 3/4."
