Jack Dempsey was born on June 24, 1895 in Manassa, Colorado. He defeated Jess Willard on July 4, 1919 to win the World Heavyweight Title and held the title until September 23, 1926 when he lost to Gene Tunney. Dempsey announced his retirement in February of 1928 with a final record of 64-6-9 with 49 KO's. Offered here is an official Cole Bros. Circus Program which featured an appearance by former World Heavyweight Champion Jack Dempsey.
This official program for the 1941 season featured Jack Dempsey in "The Crowning Triumph Of Gorgeous Pageantry." 22 pages complete. Dempsey is listed on three separate pages. No creases. Good tight binding. Minor edge and corner wear. Generally clean. A very nice example of a very scarce program featuring this great champion. 5 1/8" x 7 1/8."
