LEONARD, BENNY APPEARANCE ANNOUNCEMENT

Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's. Presented here is an annoucement for an appearance of Benny Leonard to referee a juvenile boxing contest and athletic tournament.
This annoucement is 3 1/2" x 5 1/2." There is some soiling on the front and back of the annoucement and there is a small rip in the lower right corner. The corners are slightly soft.
