DURAN, ROBERTO PENNANT (FOR 1ST FIGHT WITH LEONARD-1980)

World Welterweight Champion Sugar Ray Leonard fought Roberto Duran on June 20, 1980 in Montreal. Duran was able to coax Leonard into an attacking style fight which only worked to Duran's benefit. Duran won by decision after 15 rounds and won the World WBC Welterweight Title from Leonard. Offered here is an extremely rare original pennant from Panama for Roberto Duran advertising this fight with Sugar Ray Leonard.
This is an original cloth pennant. Bold color and print. Minor tack holes. Minor stain at wide end and a minor clipped corner. Not creased. Extremely rare pennant, the only example we have seen. 13 inches long.
