HISTORY: On July 12, 1951 at Madison Square Garden in New York future world heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano fought respected Rex Layne in the main event. Marciano scored a knockout in the 6th round. Layne was a 9-5 favorite but a right to the temple put him down for the count.
