MOORE, ARCHIE ORIGINAL PAINTING

Archie Moore was born on December 13, 1913 in Benoit, Mississippi. He won the World Light Heavyweight Title from Joey Maxim on December 17, 1952. He retired after an exhibition match with Nap Mitchell on August 27, 1965 with a final record of 183-22-9 with 1 no contest and 129 KO's. Presented here is a painting of Archie Moore. This painting belonged to Archie Moore and we purchased it from him 1n 1992 at his home.
This is a painting of Archie Moore done on board. Still in the original frame. Not signed by the artist. Circa 1950's No chipping. Minor surface soiling. Bold, vibrant color and a beautiful likeness. The painting is 15" x 18" in a frame 21" x 25."
