On January 1, 1908 at Coffroth's Mission Street Arena in Colma, California world featherweight champion Abe Attell defended his title against Owen Moran. Jim Jeffries, former heavyweight champion was the referee and the notable Billy Jordan was the ring announcer. After 25 rounds the fight was declared a draw. Offered here is a very rare, pre fight photo poster advertising the fight which pictures ring announcer Billy Jordan, Abe Attell and Owen Moran.
This is an original cardboard, pre fight, photographic poster. Images remain bold. cThere is a crack at left edge running toward the center with no paper loss. Surface wear. Edge and corner wear. Photographer stamp for Dana of San Francisco at lower right corner. Blank backed. Extremely rare, the only poster advertising this fight we have seen. 14 1/4" x 20."
