Jess Willard, The Pottawatomie Giant, defeated Jack Johnson in Havana, Cuba on April 5, 1915 with a controversial KO in the 26th round to win the Heavyweight Title. He defended the title once before losing it to Jack Dempsey on July 4, 19191 in Toledo, Ohio. Offered here is an original program for Miller Bros. 101 Ranch which featured Jess Willard after his victory over Jack Johnson in 1915, The 101 Ranch was a wild west show.
This is an original 1010 Ranch program which dates to 1915 after Willard defeated Johnson in April, 1915. 40 pages complete. The center double page is the famous photograph of Willard standing over Johnson at the end of the fight. Includes a brief profile and ring record of Willard. Beautiful color cover. Library stamp on lower right. Has edge and corner wear. Clean interior. Some separation at binding, but still intact. No center crease. 7 1/4" x 9 5/8."
