Manuel Ortiz won the World Bantamweight Title on August 7, 1942 defeating Lou Salica in 12 rounds. He defended that title 13 times before losing it to Harold Dade in 1947. He would defeat Dade the same year and go on to defend the title 4 more times until losing it to Vic Toweel in 1950. Presented here is a signed exhibit card of the great Manuel Ortiz.
The card shows Ortiz in fight pose. He has signed it, "Best Wishes To Charlie Abbott Jr. Manuel Ortiz 7/11/47." Signed as champion. The card has a light crease in the upper left corner and some minor corner wear. Clean with a bold inscription and signature. A difficult signature especially as champion. 3 1/4" x 5 1/4".
