OLSON, CARL "BOBO"-GENE HAIRSTON WIRE PHOTO (1952)

On August 27, 1952 at Madison Square Garden in New York middleweights Carl "Bobo" Olson and Gene Hairston met in a featured bout. Olson dominated and stopped Hairston in the 6th round. Bout was stopped on a bad cut suffered in the 4th round by Hairston over his right eye. Olson was dominating the bout, as Hairston appeared to be weakening. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting action during the fight.
