HISTORY: On March 13,1963 Cassius Clay met Doug Jones in a Heavyweight bout at Madison Square Garden in New York. Jones put up quite a fight but Clay would win a 10 round decision. Presented here is an original advertising broadside used to promote this fight. Put out Clay's management group, the Louisville Sponsoring Group.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, paper broadside which pictures and names both fighters. Blank back has some glue residue from mounting. Minor soiling. Small closed tear on left edge with no paper loss. 8 1/2" x 11." Rare, the only we have seen.
