On April 18, 1998 at the Nynex Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom WBO featherweight champion Prince Naseem Hamed defended his title against Wilfredo Vasquez. Hamed stopped Vasquez in the 7th round. Vasquez was stripped of his WBA title for defending against Hamed. However, after the fight, Hamed was awarded the title by the WBA. Wilfredo Vazquez down once in the 3rd & 6th, and down twice in the 7th. Offered here is an original, on site poster for this event.
