ROBINSON, SUGAR RAY-AL NETTLOW RADIO ADVERTISING POSTER (1942)

On December 14, 1942 at Covention Hall in Philadelphia undefeated welterweight star Sugar Ray Robinson fought Al Nettlow in the main event. Robinson stopped Nettlow in the third round. The paid attendance was 7,868 and promoter Herman Taylor donated the profit from this card to the USO. Offered here is a rare poster advertising the fight on radio sponsored by Adam Hats.
This is an original, paper, advertising poster. Bold color and print. Some light staining. Edge wear including one tear with no paper loss. 11 3/4" x 18 1/2." Rare, the only poster from this fight we have seen.
