Regular price $800.00

HISTORY: On April 25, 1941 at the Coliseum in Baltomore, Maryland world bantamweight champion Lou Salica defended his title against Lew Transperenti. Salica won a unanimous 15 round decision. "The local lad (Transparenti) started out at a very fast pace to carry the fight to the champ (Salica) and at the end of the tenth round was out in front by a comfortable margin. From then on..Transparenti seemed to tire and the champ then forged ahead." (The Ring, July 1941, page 62) Even so, the decision in favor of Salica was unpopular.
