On August 18, 1979 at the Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Nebraska heavyweight contenders Ron Stander and Jim Pearish battled in a scheduled ten rounder. Stander prevailed and stopped Pearish in the 5th round. Offered here is a scarce, original, on site poster for this event.
