HISTORY: Muhammad Ali fought Jerry Quarry for the second time on June 27, 1972 in Las Vegas. Ali won by TKO in the 7th round. Ali made $500,000, while Quarry made $200,000. Ali was the #1 contender, and Quarry was ranked #2. World Light Heavyweight Champion Bob Foster defended his title on the undercard with a fourth-round KO of Mike Quarry, Jerry Quarry's younger brother. The card was publicized as "The Soul Brothers vs. The Quarry Brothers." Quarry was never down in the fight, but was dominated from start to finish. Presented here is an original press kit for the bout which was distributed to the media.
