TUNNEY, GENE-TOM HEENEY SOUVENIR PROGRAM (1928)

On July 26, 1928 at Yankee Stadium in New York World Heavyweight Champion Gene Tunney defended his title against Tom Heeney. Tunney stopped Heeney in the 11th round. This would be Tunney's last fight as he announced his retirement a few days after the fight. Offered here is an original souvenir program for this event.
This is an original souvenir program which consists of 4 pages with pictures of fighters on the cover and profiles and records of each. Tight binding. Not creased, but has compressions on cover from handling. Minor edge and corner wear. Mild soiling and spotting. 7" x 10."
