HISTORY: On August 21, 1971 at Nuevo Circo in Caracus, Venezuela former world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali boxred exhibitions against three different fighters. In a featured match WBA Light Heavyweight champion Vicente Rondon defended his title against Eddie "Bossman" Jones. Rondon won a unanimous 15 round decision.  "Vicente Rondon of Venezuela successfully defended his WBA light heavyweight title by unanimously outpointing Eddie "Bossman" Jones of the US Saturday night in a 15 round bout before 10,500 at the Nuevo Circo bull ring. Rondon applied consistent right uppercuts to Jones' face. Jones gave a good boxing demonstration but lacked hard punching and was badly handicapped by bleeding through an old scar over his left eyelid." -Compiled from Wire Services. Jones' cut required nine stitches. Muhammad Ali boxed 9 exhibition rounds with two sparring partners after the title bout.
