SALICA, LOU SIGNED PHOTO (1941)

Lou Salica was born on July 26, 1913 in New York. He won the World Bantamweight Title on September 24, 1940 when he defeated George Pace by decision after 15 rounds. He retired after losing to Harry Jeffra on March 27, 1944 with a final record of 62-17-11 with 13 KO's. Presented here is a signed photo of Lou Salica. From the collection of former boxer Vince Handley. This photo depicts Salica being welcomed to Baltimore in 1941 for his fight with Lew Transperanti. Each person pictured is named on the back.
