On November 14, 1981 at the Showboat in Las Vegas WBC Super WElterweight Champion Wilfred Benitez made his first title defense against number one contender Carlos Santos. Benitez prevailed winning a unanimous 15 round decision. This was a mandatory title defense. Santos was the WBC #1 ranked contender. There was a crowd of approximately 3,000 at the Showboat Sports Pavilion. Benitez scored a knockdown in the sixth round. Offered here is an original, full, unused ticket for this event.
