HISTORY: On February 16, 1986 at the RPI Houston Field House in Troy, New York future world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson fought Jesse Ferguson in the main event. Tyson stopped Ferguson in the 6th round. Ferguson, while down in 5th, was disqualified for excessive holding. However the official result given by the New York State Athletic Commission is a TKO. Also on the show heavyweight Mike Weaver stopped Carl "The Truth" Williams. Weaver dropped Williams with a left hook to the chin in the second round. Williams, badly hurt, struggled to get up. After two more knockdowns, the referee stopped the fight. Offered here is a rare, original, on site, poster for this event. Tyson's only appearance at the RIP Houston Field House in Troy.
