WALCOTT, JERSEY JOE PINBACK (AS CHAMPION)

Jersey Joe Walcott was born on January 31, 1914 in Merchantville, N.J. He won the World Heavyweight Title from Ezzard Charles on July 18, 1951. He retired after being knocked out by Rocky Marciano for the Heavyweight Title on May 15, 1953. His final record was 50-18-1 with 30 KO's. This is an original stadium souvenir pinback of Walcott as champion. Pin dates to 1951-1952. Ribbon firmly attached. Image is bold. Some foxing on perimeter edges. Pin firmly attached on reverse. Pin is 1 3/4" in diameter and with ribbon is 3 1/2" long.
