On September 29, 1977 at New York's Madison Square Garden, Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali defended his title against tough challenger Earnie Shavers. Ali won a close 15 round decision. Ali was wobbled in the 2nd and 14th rounds, but had enough to survive. The fight was a huge financial success. The Garden was sold out and NBC which televised it live had incredible ratings, a tribute to Ali's drawing power. Presented here is a color action photo from the fight which has been boldly signed by both fighters.
The photograph is a color 8 x 10 action shot depicting a weary Muhammad Ali fending off the aggressive Earnie Shavers. Both fighters have boldly signed the photograph in black sharpie. The photo itself is in fine condition. Clear, crisp color and image. No creases or tears. A beautiful example with both fighters' signatures.
