HISTORY: On February 25, 1964 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida world heavyweight champion Sonny Liston defended his title against upstart and undefeated Cassius Clay of Louisville. Liston was a heavy favorite, but Clay proved to be the far superior boxer and exhibited great quickness of hand and foot and stopped Liston in the 7th round.
