HISTORY: On May 2, 1941 at the Jefferson County Armory in Louisville, Kentucky lightweights Sammy Angott and Dave Castilleux battled in the featured match. Angott won a 12 round decision. Angott rushed Castillou throughout the fight, not letting him get set. Castilloux was unable to land much of note, with the exception of a good right hand to the chin in the 11th round. Angott's purse: $435.96 (originally guaranteed $2,500). Castilloux's purse: $359.86 (originally guaranteed $1,500). Castilloux's manager Raoul Godbout refused the share, threatening to sue.
