BAER, MAX-PAOLINO UZCUDUN REAL PHOTO POSTCARD (1931)
On July 4,1931 Max Baer met Paulino Uzcudun in a Heavyweight bout. Uzcudun won the bout by decision in 20 rounds of boxing. This is the "first heavyweight bout of any importance in Reno since [Jack] Johnson defeated [James] Jeffries July 4, 1910." Some 18,000 people attended, "virtually equaling the normal population of the city." New York Times. Jack Dempsey served as the referee. Presented here is a real photo postcard which depicts the crowd watching the fighters in action. This is an original, real photo postcard. Unused with AZO stamp on reverse. Bold, clear image.
