BASSETT, PERCY-SERAPHIN FERRER OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1955)
On April 24, 1955 at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France featherweights Percy Bassett and Seraphin Ferrer battled in the main. This was Bassett's last professional fight and he went out on top stopping Ferrer in the 10th and final round. Bassett was down in the 1st, Ferrer was down twice in the 9th. After Ferrer was knocked down in the 10th, the referee stopped the bout. Ferrer led on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage. Offered here is a rare, original, official program for the event.
This is an original, official program written in French consisting of ten pages with list of bouts and photos with profiles of the fighters. Tight binding. Clean. Has a center crease. Clipped corner at lower left. Date noted on front cover. 6 1/4" x 9 1/2."
