HISTORY: Pipino Cuevas was born on December 27, 1957 at Santo Tomas de los Platanos, Mexico. His first professional fight was a loss to Alfredo Castro on November 14, 1971. Cuevas worked his way through the rankings and on July 17, 1976 he defeated Angel Espada to win the WBA Welterweight Title. Cuevas made 11 successful defenses of the title before losing it to Thomas Hearns on August 2, 1980. In his career he fought many top fighters including Roberto Duran, Billy Backus, Pete Ranzany and Ronnie Shields. Cuevas retired after losing to Lupe Aquino on September 25, 1989 with a final record of 35-15. Cuevas is a member of the International Boxing Hall Of Fame.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a left handed, red leather boxing glove with Everlast label at the wrist. Boldly signed on the backhand in black sharpie, "Pipino Cuevas." Clean with no noticeable flaws. 12 ounce boxing glove.
