Jack Dempsey fought Gene Tunney for the second time on September 22, 1927 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Tunney won by decision after 10 rounds. The fight is remembered as the famous "Long Count" fight which resulted when Dempsey knocked Tunney down, but failed to get to a neutral corner allowing Tunney extra time to recover. Offered here is a full, unused ticket to the fight which has been framed with a signature of the fight's promoter Tex Rickard.
This is a full, unused, original ticket printed on heavy stock. Stub attached. Includes fighter names and a section, row and seat number. Crease in upper left corner. Bold color. The Tex Rickard signature is in ink measuring 1 1/2" x 4." Not creased. Both are framed together with a smal plaque to 13" x 15."
