HISTORY: Robert Fitzsimmons was born on May 26, 1863 in Helston, Cornwall, England. He won the World Middleweight Title on January 14, 1891 from Jack Dempsey. On March 17, 1897 he won the World Heavyweight Title from James Corbett. He later won the World Light Heavyweight Title on November 25, 1903 from George Gardner. He retired after fighting Jersey Bellew on February 20, 1914 with a final record of 43-12 with 6 no decisions, 1 no contest, and 32 KO's. Offered here is an original ink signature of Robert Fitzsimmons which he signed and dated July 27, 1900 while he was at training camp for his next fight against Gus Ruhlin. His wife has added her signature and dated it the same day. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.

FULL DESCRIPTION: Both signatures are in fountain pen ink on lined paper which has been glued to another paper. Robert Fitzsimmons has signed, "Training quarters Bergin Beach July 27/1900 Merrily Yours Robert Fitzsimmons." His wife at the time has signed, "Bob's Wife Rosalie Fitzsimmons July 27. 1900." Some of glue stains have bled into the front, otherwise clean. Not creased or torn. Both signatures are mounted and measure 5 1/8" x 5 1/2." Authenticated by PSA/DNA with their Cert # AL02027.
