HISTORY: Abe Goldstein was born in New York on September 10, 1898. He began his professional career on June 30, 1916 with an 8 round KO of Georgie Lewis. His career spanned almost 11 years. He posted a career mark of 91-22-11 with 4 no decisions. He won the World Bantamweight Title on March 21, 1924 by 15 round decision over Joe Lynch. He defended the title twice before losing it to Eddie Martin on December 19, 1924. He posted victories in his career over Charles Ledoux, Tommy Ryan, Pete Sarmiento and Pancho Villa. Presented here is a vintage photo signed by Abe Goldstein.

The photo has been boldly signed and inscribed in blue ink, "Best Wishes To My Pal & Trainer Ray Arcel From Abe Goldstein 1924." 7 1/2" x 9 1/4" in fine condition. Sharp, clear image. No noticeable flaws although I suspect the photo was probably trimmed. A rare and beautiful image with a bold signature, dated as champion. From the collection of Ray Arcel.
