HISTORY: On January 23, 1967 (rescheduled from November 10, 1966) at Madison Square Garden in New York world middleweight champion Emile Griffith defended his title against tough Joey Archer. Six months earlier Griffith defeated Archer by a close majority decision. In this fight Griffith won by unanimous 15 round decision.
