HISTORY: On September 29, 1988 at the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea future world heavyweight stars Ray Mercer and Andrew Golota competed in the semi finals of the Heavyweight division. Mercer defeated Arnold Vanderlijde of Netherlands. Baek Hyeon-Man of Korea defeated Andrew Golota of the Poland. Mercer went on to defeat Hyeon-Man in the finals to win the gold medal.
