HISTORY: Lennox Lewis was undefeated after his first 15 professional fights before deciding to take his show to the United States. His first fight in the U.S. was against former champion Mike Weaver at Caesars Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada on July 12, 1991. Lewis knocked Weaver out in the 6th round. Lewis had to be licensed in the U.S. in order to fight. Offered here is his original signed Nevada State Athletic Commission application for that license which is dated July 11, 1991, the day before the Weaver fight. JSA authenticated.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a one page, original license application which includes an original photo of Lewis stapled to it. Lewis has filled out the appropriate information and boldly signed it at the bottom in ink. Two holes atop. Mild fold and minor edge wear. Print is bold. Clean with no staining. 8 1/2" x 11." JSA authenticated with their label on back and separate Cert # HH49078. Rare offering for this great heavyweight champion.
