HISTORY: Joe's Folks Visit Him at His Training Camp. Pompton Lakes, N.J.: Mrs. Lilian Barrow Brooks, mother of Joe Louis, Negro battler, and three of his four sisters, had their first glimpse of the Brown Bomber in big time setting today. When they visited his training camp here, and saw him give a mass interview to the press, and go through some training stunts in the gymnasium. It was too cold for an outdoor workout. The battler from Detroit will cross leather with Primo Carnera in a Milk Fund Bout in Yankee Stadium on June 25, 1935. 

Offered here is an original, type 1 photograph of Joe Louis shown with his kin, left to right-sitting- Miss Vunies Barow, 17, his younger sister; Joe Louis, and his mother Mrs. Lilian Barrow Brooks. Back Row-Joe's other two sisters, Mrs. Emmerell Davis, 29, and Mrs. Eulalie Gaines, 23.
