On July 10, 1950 at Braves Field in Boston undefeated heavyweight Rocky Marciano fought tough Gino Buonvino in the main event. Marciano stopped Buonvino in the 10th and ifnal round to remain unbeaten. Buonvino was floored by a left hook to the jaw for a count of eight in the first round, but he came back to give a very good account of himself before the referee stopped the fight in round ten. Offered here is a very scarce wire photo depicting 1st round action.
