MARCIANO, ROCKY-JERSEY JOE WALCOTT II SOUVENIR PENNANT (1953)
On May 15, 1953 at Chicago Stadium heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano defended his title against the man he had taken it from eight months earlier, Jersey Joe Walcott. Walcott was winning the first fight before being stopped late, but in this rematch it was all Marciano who stopped Walcott in the very first round. Offered here is an original, souvenir pennant from this event. This is an original, green and orange felt pennant with white lettering. Bold color and print. No tack holes. Clean front and back. Minor edge wear. 26" long. Extremely rare, the only example we have seen.
