Sandro Mazzinghi was born in Pontedera, Toscana, Italy on October 3, 1938. He fought his first professional fight on September 15, 1961 knocking out Severino Gagliardi. On September 7, 1963 he stopped Ralph Dupas in the 4th round to win the light middleweight title. He successfull defended the title three times before losing it to Nino Benvenuti in 1965. On May 26, 1968 Mazzinghi won a close 15 round split decision over Ki Soo Kim to win the light middleweight title He retired after defeating Jean-Claude Warusfel on March 4, 1978. He finished with a final record of 64-3. Offered here is a signed photograph of Sandro Mazzinghi.
