HISTORY: On Monday, June 30, 1975 Carlos Monzon defended his World Middleweight Title for the first and only time in the United States at New York's Madison Square Garden. His opponent was Tony Licata of New Orleans. Monzon stopped Licata in the 10th round. Also on this show was the closed circuit viewing of the Ali-Bugner II fight from Malaysia which was won by Ali. Victor Galindez also fighting on this show banged out a 15 round decision over Jorge Ahumada in defense of his World Light Heavyweight Title.
