HISTORY: Floyd Patterson was born on January 4, 1935 in Waco, North Carolina. He won the World Heavyweight Title in a bout with Archie Moore on November 30, 1956. He lost it to Ingemar Johansson on June 26, 1959 and then regained it from him a year later. He retired after losing to Muhammad Ali on September 20, 1972 with a final record of 55-8-1 with 40 KO's.
Presented here is a vintage signed postcard of Floyd Patterson. Dated 10/6/72 approximately two weeks after his second fight with Muhammad Ali. Authenticated by JSA.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a vintage signed postcard of Patterson. The card measures 3 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches. The card is not creased or torn. Mild toning and a small spot stain at top border. Authenticated by JSA and comes with their label numbered CS25726.
