HISTORY: On September 30, 1975 at Madison Square Garden in New York light heavyweights Mike Rossman and Mike Quarry headlined the boxing show. Quarry won a unanimous ten round decision over Rossman. "Veteran Mike Quarry scored a unanimous 10 round decision over Mike Rossman Tuesday night in Rossman's debut as a light heavyweight. In two seasons of professional fighting, Rossman had built up a 22-1-1 record as a middleweight, but was no match for the experienced Quarry, who controlled the fight during the later rounds. Quarry scored most of his points infighting with the 20 year old Rossman, who was surprisingly one pound heavier at 168 than his older adversary." -United Press International. Also on the show was the closed circuit viewing of the Thrilla in Manila between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, which Ali won when Frazier did not answer the bell for the final round.
