HISTORY: On February 23, 1945 at Madison Square Garden in New York Sugar Ray Robinson and Jake LaMotta fought for the fourth time. These two had split their first two fights. LaMotta had given Sugar Ray his first professional loss. In their third fight Robinson prevailed. In this fourth fight once again Robinson prevailed winning a unanimous ten round decision. Referee Eddie Joseph scored it 6-4, Judge Bill Healy had it 6-3-1, and Judge Jack Gordon had it 7-1-2 all for Robinson.
