HISTORY: On June 24, 1947 at the Arena in Cleveland, Ohio welterweight champion Sugar Ray Robinson defended his title against Jimmy Doyle. Robinson stopped Doyle in the 8th round with a stinging left hook at the bell. Doyle could not come out for the 9th round and subsequently died from the injuries he sustained in this bout. Offered here is an original, official program for this fight.

Edge and corner wear with slight paper loss at lower right corner of front cover. Has some creasing. Clean inside and out. Interior is printed on inexpensive paper. Few of these survived.
