On February 25, 1955 at Madison Square Garden in New York world featherweight champion Sandy Saddler defended his title against Teddy "Red Top" Davis in the main event. Saddler prevailed winning a unanimous 15 round decision. A dull and drab and dirty affair. Saddler won-won as he pleased and it pleased him to cuff and belabor Davis and put him to rout in a bout that through the early rounds looked fairly even." (The Ring, May 1955, page 24). Offered here is a very scarce, full, unused ticket for this event.
This is an original, full, unused ticket which names the fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. Clean. Bold color and print. Stub firmly attached. Paper residue on back from being mounted. Not creased or torn. Minor edge wear. 2 1/4" x 6."
