Marcel Thil was born in France on May 25, 1904. He began his professional career on November 8, 1925. He won the World Middleweight Title on June 11, 1932 on a disqualification over champion Gorilla Jones. He made nine successful title defenses before losing the title in what would be his last professional fight against Fred Apostoli. Retired with a career mark of 79-14-4 with victories over Lou Brouillard, Len Harvey, Vince Dundee and Jock McAvoy. Presented here is a vintage signed promotional photo of Marcel Thil.
