HISTORY: On July 26, 1928 at Yankee Stadium in New York World Heavyweight Champion Gene Tunney defended his title against Tom Heeney. Tunney stopped Heeney in the 11th round. This would be Tunney's last fight as he announced his retirement a few days after the fight.
