Gene Tunney was born on May 25, 1897 in New York City, New York. He won the World Heavyweight Title from Jack Dempsey on September 23, 1926. He also held the American Light Heavyweight Title. He retired after fighting Tom Heeney on July 26, 1928 with a final record of 77-1-3 with 1 no decision, 1 no contest and 45 KO's. Presented here is a signed letter.
Gene Tunney has boldly signed this 7 1/4" x 10 1/2" letter in black marker. The letter was referencing his son's candidacy for the U.S. Senate. There are 2 horizontal creases where the letter was folded. The bottom left corner is creased as well as the upper right section of the letter. No rips or tears.
