HISTORY: On May 18, 1948 in Coventry, West Midlands, United Kingdom Dick Tupin and Bos Murphy battled for the Commonwealth Boxing Council Middleweight Title. Tupin knocked Murphy out in the very first round. Murphy was down prior to being KO'd by a right to the chin. On the undercard Don Cockell won an 8 round decision over Johnny Williams.
