History: Jess Willard, The Pottawatomie Giant, defeated Jack Johnson in Havana, Cuba on April 5, 1915 with a controversial KO in the 26th round to win the Heavyweight Title. He defended the title once before losing it to Jack Dempsey on July 4, 19191 in Toledo, Ohio. Presented here is a signed and inscribed photo of Willard with a COA from PSA/DNA.
This signed and inscribed photo measures 8 inches by 10 inc hes.The photo has a 1 inch tear on the right border.The left border has 2 small indent marks on the white portion not effecting the signature.The lower left corner has a small crease.The signature is in ink .The inscription is somewhat light but the signature of Willard is clean and easily readable. Rare. COA from PSA/DNA # F85052.
